Her work focuses on visual communication, public history, and cultural landscapes of the Lake Superior region. Working within northern landscapes and shaped by her Finnish-American background, her work explores how design can communicate histories, ecologies, and identities over time.
Across visual media, Amber translates regional history and landscape into print, digital, and environmental communication. Her work is shaped by a northern design tradition where clarity, restraint, and long-term observation shape how meaning is constructed and communicated.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design and Public History from Northern Michigan University (2019) and works seasonally as a U.S. Park Ranger. This experience continues to shape her understanding of landscape, stewardship, communication, and design.
Amber accepts projects on a limited, project-by-project basis.
